Our Mission is to grow the sport of roundnet in New York by bringing together new and existing players from across the region, through fun and competitive leagues, tournaments and pickup games.

 

Our Vision is to build one of the strongest roundnet communities in the world.

 

Western New York Roundnet was founded in August 2018 by Karl Chodora and Chris Wahl, friends of over 20 years who share a common passion for the sport of roundnet and the community in which we live and serve, Western New York. Today, it is run by Jake Heidman, a junior at University at Buffalo and avid member of both the local, and national roundnet community.

In a short period of time, we have watched the local roundnet community grow, from a small handful of players getting together for Sunday pickup games, to news interviews, newspaper articles, 25 team leagues and 35+ team tournaments with players coming from all over New York, Toronto, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio and beyond to compete in our events.

In 2021, Western New York Roundnet is one of a few clubs in the United States that is a partnered Spikeball Ambassador Organization, and to be officially sponsored by Spikeball.

 

Our community is strong and the future is bright, thanks to the ongoing support from new and existing players alike. We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what’s next for the sport of Spikeball/Roundnet in Western New York.
